This year started on a bad note after getting the coronavirus, but everything has been going well since I got better. Coronavirus seems to be calming down in Japan, so we have been able to do normal 50-minute classes as usual without having to close the school or do remote classes. It feels good to be back to normal.
This year, in junior high, we have two big 1st year classes! It has been a long time since we had such big classes in junior high, so it has been very lively and noisy in junior high lately. This year, I have been teaching junior high first- and second-year students, as well as senior high first- and third-year students.
Students have just finished exams and are now preparing for the annual sports festival. The junior high students have been working hard on their dance that they will perform at the festival. I think they will do a great job and impress everyone with their dance. The festival was meant to take place on Friday, the 27th of May, but there was a lot of rain. The sports festival will be moved to Monday the 30th. I really hope we can all enjoy the festival together.
