So far, this year has been very eventful. I am now teaching in the high school 2nd year staff room and am a sub-homeroom teacher for both A class and C class. It is my first time being a sub-homeroom teacher for two classes and it has been quite challenging. It is particularly difficult marking the kanji morning test for C class on Fridays, but I have gotten used to it and have improved my kanji too.
I am in charge of teaching all the high school 2nd years classes. I am also teaching junior high 1st and third years as well as high school 3rd years. This year, I am teaching most of my classes together with Amber Sensei. So, the students are able to listen to two different types of English during class.
The 表象文化研究部 club lost a lot of members as most of the members are now in high school 3rd year and have to focus on university entrance exams. So, we have had to gather new members. We invited students to join us for the “de Chirico Exhibition”, but sadly no new students joined us. We recently had a movie-viewing at school in the audio-visual room. We watched a sci-fi movie called “District 9” and a few new students came. They seemed interested in the club, so hopefully they will join. I think movie-viewing is a good way to attract more members, so I look forward to hosting more movie-viewing events in the future and getting students interested in arts and culture.
